We are delighted to share the tremendous success of our recent event, “Majlis Iftar Kumpulan Amanat Lebuhraya Rakyat 2023,” which took place on the 17th of April 2023. This remarkable gathering brought together our Muslim staff members in a joyous celebration of unity and solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan.
One of the highlights of the event was our commitment to giving back to the community. As part of our corporate social responsibility efforts, we made a significant contribution to Pertubuhan Rumah Anak Yatim dan Asnaf Sijangkang, Klang. This act of kindness aimed to support and uplift the lives of the underprivileged individuals, reflecting our deep-rooted ALR core values of compassion.
In addition, we introduced an inspiring campaign – “Mesranya Raya di Lebuh Raya” during the event. This campaign focused on encouraging the public to celebrate the spirit of camaraderie during Aidilfitri. Content and messages related were posted on social media through the hashtag #mesranyarayadilebuhraya. The campaign covered various aspects, including road safety advisories, promoting a positive working culture, and highlighting our Ramadan charity initiatives.
The event was filled with memorable moments among ALR’s staff members. As the sun set, delicious and refreshing food and beverages were served for Iftar, allowing everyone to break their fast together in a spirit of unity and gratitude. The atmosphere was brimming with warmth and happiness as colleagues shared laughter and engaged in meaningful conversations.
This successful Majlis Iftar not only reinforced the importance of community engagement but also fostered a sense of togetherness among our staff members. We believe that such events not only strengthen the bond between colleagues but also promote a harmonious work environment that values diversity and inclusivity.
RAYA SHOPPING SPREE: LITRAK GROUP CELEBRATE THE JOY OF 2023 AIDILFITRI WITH SK SEKSYEN 1, BANDAR KINRARA STUDENTS

Shah Alam – As Aidilfitri approaches, four concessionaires (KESAS, LITRAK, SMART and SPRINT) celebrate the festive season by organizing a Ramadan Charity Program at AEON Shah Alam, with 32 less fortunate children from Sekolah Kebangsaan Seksyen 1, Bandar Kinrara.
We believe that this effort is essential as it serves as one of the platforms for fulfilling our social obligation to the surrounding community. We aim to assist B40 families in coping with the rising cost of living and ensure that these students are not left out in terms of Raya preparations. Each student has been allocated RM 250 in cash to spend on their Raya needs.
The Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of Amanat Lebuhraya Rakyat Berhad, En Sazally bin Saidi, stated that the Group is dedicated to continuous efforts to help the community. “This year, we have decided to organize this program through strategic cooperation among all four highways, together with SK Seksyen 1, Bandar Kinrara. We hope that this move will be able to ease the burden of school students whose families are affected by the current cost of living,” he said.
Happy expression can be seen from the students as they shop joyfully for their Raya needs. The program ended on a sweet note as the students left the mall with happy faces and hands filled with shopping bags!

AMANAT LEBUHRAYA RAKYAT BERHAD HELD A ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS TALK IN COLLABORATION WITH PROTON AND THE ROYAL MALAYSIAN POLICE (RMP)

Shah Alam – Amanat Lebuhraya Rakyat Berhad, in collaboration with PROTON and the Royal Malaysian Police (RMP), recently held a Road Safety Awareness Talk to address the concerning trend of Moving Vehicle Accidents (MVA) in Malaysia. The statistics recorded by the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) indicate that motorcyclists have been involved in more than 60% of deaths in road accidents over the past 20 years, highlighting the need for increased awareness of safe riding behavior.
The Awareness Talk was successfully organized on 21st March 2023 attended by 100 participants, including PROTON HICOM staffs and management.
The objective of the program was to educate motorcyclists on the importance of practising safe behaviour while riding, and related safety measures. Through the module “Ride Safe, Arrive Safe” talk delivered by the legendary Cub Prix rider, Tuan Wazi Abdul Hamid – participants were urged to change their mindset, and riding skills to ensure their safety, and other road users.
The Talk was divided into two sessions, with the first coordinated by the Royal Malaysian Police. Tuan ASP Suwardi Mat Desa from the Selangor Contingent Police Headquarter was invited as the Speaker for this session. He particularly touches on the rules and regulations, impact and consequences of riding recklessly on road.
According to En Sazally Saidi, Group Chief Executive Officer, “It has been our continuous efforts and commitments to organize such programs to reduce accident rates, especially involving motorcyclists. One of the biggest contributing factors of accident, is attitude. We hope this program would raise participants’ awareness of the importance of safe riding.”
Overall, the Road Safety Awareness Talk was a successful event that brought together key stakeholders to address the critical issue of road safety. We hope that participants will gain beneficial input and place high importance on the concept of “Ride Safe, Arrive Safe”.
2022 SPM Impact Program

Amanat Lebuhraya Rakyat Berhad through its concession company, Litrak had successfully organized the 2022 SPM Impact Program with 280 students SPM candidates from SMK Bandar Sri Damansara 1, Kuala Lumpur, previously on 10th February 2023.
Candidates received a set of revision books and materials for core subjects such as Malay, Mathematics, Science and History. This allows the candidates to review lessons with friends and teachers, when attending additional classes held by the School.
Apart from the revision books, the school also received a laptop for the computer lab’s usage. The contribution was handed over in a brief ceremony, by the representative of Amanat Lebuhraya Rakyat Berhad, Mr. Shah Rizal Mohamed Fawzi as the Head of Communications Department, to the Principal of SMK Bandar Sri Damansara 1, Puan Noramizan Binti Ab Rahman.
Afterwards, the students were enrolled in a dedicated Motivational Talk, arranged by Litrak and the school. Our main focus is for the SPM candidates to push through and strive to achieve excellent result in the upcoming SPM. All the best!
APPOINTMENT OF NEW DIRECTOR AND APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN FOR AMANAT LEBUHRAYA RAKYAT BERHAD (“ALR”)

8 February 2023, Petaling Jaya – ALR is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Chew Liong Kim to the Board
of Directors of ALR with effect from 3rd February 2023.
Mr Chew is a Chartered Accountant Fellow (FCA, CAANZ) and member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants
(MIA) with extensive experience in business advisory, government consulting, corporate management and
currently serves on the board of MISC Berhad and Zico Holdings Inc. Mr. Chew has more than 40 years of
professional experience both in the public and private sector, spanning private public partnerships (PPP) of new
infrastructure projects in highways, ports and public services, as well as various other industries including airports,
broadcasting, telecommunications and utilities.
The Board of ALR shortlisted and assessed several candidates, after which the Board unanimously selected and
invited Mr. Chew to join ALR as a shareholder and Director. We are pleased that Mr. Chew has accepted our
invitation to join ALR, as his knowledge and experience will complement the skillsets and experience of the other

will assume the role of Chairman of ALR with effect from 8 February 2023. Dato’ Idrose succeeds our previous
Chairman, Allahyarham Tan Sri Azlan bin Mohd Zainol. Dato’ Idrose’s leadership and vast experience spanning
various industries such as construction, project and infrastructure implementation, engineering and operations
management will continue to drive the ALR’s commitment to fulfil its mandate to accelerate the era of nominal
tolling for the motoring rakyat.
Chinese New Year Charity Program with Persatuan Kebajikan Kasih OKU Selangor, Klang.

Recently, LITRAK, SPRINT, KESAS and also the SMART Tunnel (concession companies under the ALR Berhad) has successfully held a Chinese New Year Charity Program together with the Persatuan Kebajikan Kasih OKU Selangor, Klang.
This association, also known as ‘Ci Yuan’, is home to 25 special children, the disabled, and abandoned elderly. Most of the residents here have health problems, thus, they need meticulous care, and caring helpers to assist them daily.
Through this charity program, all four concessionaires – LITRAK, SPRINT, KESAS and Tunnel SMART donated household and electrical goods, grocery and daily necessities, RM 2,000 donation, lunch packs and angpow to all residents.
It is hoped the donations given will help ease the burden of ‘Ci Yuan’ and bring joy to the residents, especially during this Chinese New Year festive season.

DEMISE OF AMANAT LEBUHRAYA RAKYAT BERHAD’S (“ALR”) CHAIRMAN, TAN SRI AZLAN ZAINOL

13 January 2023, Petaling Jaya: It is with deep sorrow that we formally record the passing of our Chairman, Tan Sri Azlan Zainol. Tan Sri Azlan passed away at 2.40 pm on 12 January 2023 at the age of 72 years old at a private hospital in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. He is survived by his wife, Puan Sri Laili Hassan, 4 children and 6 grandchildren.
Allahyarham Tan Sri Azlan was one of the founding members of ALR and his leadership and vast experience were instrumental to the successful completion of the issuance of ALR’s RM5.5 billion in nominal value AAA-rated Senior Sustainable and Responsible Investment Sukuk Murabahah, as well as the ensuing completion ALR’s acquisition of the four highway toll concessionaires, those being Lingkaran Trans Kota Sdn Bhd, Sistem Penyuraian Trafik KL Barat Sdn Bhd, KESAS Sdn Bhd. and Syarikat Mengurus Air Banjir dan Terowong Sdn Bhd.
The Board, management and staff of the ALR group of companies would like to especially recognise the immeasurable contributions Allahyarham Tan Sri Azlan has made to the group. Allahyarham Tan Sri Azlan will be fondly remembered as a highly ethical and assertive leader who was generous with his knowledge and advice.
