Reactivation of traffic channelization scheme and contra flow lane on LDP

Please be informed that our Traffic Channelization Scheme and Contra Flow Lane at several main locations along the Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP) are now fully operational, starting on 10th October 2021. The reactivation of the Traffic Channelization Scheme and Contra Flow Lane aims to ensure smooth traffic flow on LDP. Please refer to the following list for locations involved with the Traffic Channelization Scheme and Contra Flow Lane:

CONTRA FLOW LANE Contra Flow Lane at KM 21 — KM 18, from Putrajaya / Puchong heading towards Kelana Jaya

In a statement today, En Sazally Saidi, LITRAK Chief Executive Officer, informed that traffic situation at several main locations on LDP have significant increase in traffic volume, especially during the morning and evening peak hours. The significant trafic increase is anticipated following the Government’s announcement and to reopen most economic sectors in Malaysia, through its #ReopeningSafely campaign. LITRAK will give its full commitment to ensure smooth trafic flow through 2 series of improvement to its Congestion Mitigation Plan implemented since 2009. Previously, almost RM 1 billion had been spent for this purpose including the following enhancement works:~

1. Newly built interchanges;
2. Upgrading Works of existing Interchanges;
3. Mainline Widening Works;
4. Additional tol lanes at Toll Plaza; and
5. Full Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) implementation,
